Wertschöpfungsanalyse der deutschen Stahlindustrie

Value-Added-Analysis

  • Publications 17.05.1995

Since we have a good estimator for the extent of the harm human actions have on the environment by computing MIPS - material input per service unit -, it is important to take into account which monetary fluxes are combined with maintaining the ecological integrity. When MIPS tells us what we should do to avoid a huge impact on the environment, another instrument is needed to show us the economic consequences in order to compare the ecologic-economic efficiency of the different measures. For that an instrument, called value-added-analysis (VAA) has been developed and is described in the following paper.
