Energy Saving Policy between Germany and China

Chinese scholar at the Wuppertal Institute

In 2007 as well as in 2009, China overtook the United States to become the world's largest emitter of CO2 and energy consumer. The Chinese student of the political sociology Ms. Guan Ting deals in her research with the implementation of effective political measures for the energy conservation in her native country. Since the beginning of October she has been supporting the research group 2 at the Wuppertal Institute as a scholar of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. As an aim of her stay she would like to prepare a comparative study of effective energy saving policy between Germany and China.
