The latest World Transport Policy and Practice (WTPP) issue is devoted to the outputs from the EU Evidence project which aims to provide advice to decision-makers on the economic, social and environmental benefits of sustainable mobility policies, measures, projects and initiatives. The issue thus builds an antipole to the strong current but evidence-free rhetoric that economic growth is best stimulated and more new jobs created by new roads, bigger airports and more high speed trains. According to the authors, sustainable mobility choices like walking, cycling and public transport are yet highly underestimated and under-valued in regard to their benefits. The Evidence project provides rich evidence for that claim. Sustainable transport strategies are not only good for public health, ethics, and a high quality of life, but are also beneficial for the economy.

All 22 measures reviews of the project have been published in the WTPP. Three of the published measures are by Wuppertal Institute staff members: Measure No. 2 (Cleaner Vehicles) and 11 (Marketing and re-warding) by Frederic Rudolph and Measure No. 1 (Electric Battery and Fuel Cell Vehicles) by Hanna Hüging. The issue is available online on the journal's website or partly on the Wuppertal Institute's publication server.
