Evidence-based Narratives for the European Research and Innovation Policy

Presenting the EU project RECREATE

Invited by the European Commission (Directorate General Research and Innovation), the Wuppertal Institute was present at the Conference "T2gE - Transition to the Green Economy", the opening event of the new Slovak Presidency of the EU Council. On September 7th, Susanne Fischer, Research Fellow in the research unit "Circular Economy" presented new insights regarding the diffusion of systemic eco-innovation. In parallel, Philipp Schepelmann, project coordinator in the research group "Energy, Transport and Climate Policy" presented research insights at the IST2016 in Wuppertal. Both presentations were based on on-going work in the EU project RECREATE. The project develops evidence-based narratives for the European research and innovation policy as an answer to societal challenges such as securing access to of raw materials, resource efficiency and climate action ("Grand Societal Challenge 5").
