In her Master thesis, Sophie Peter analyses the societal impact of sustainability research. In the course of doing so, she meets the questions of how societal impact can be defined and what lessons can be learned from theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as from practical examples. Finally, she investigates what the assessment of societal impact of sustainability-oriented projects can look like. As a result, she developed a holistic framework on project-level and its operationalisation and tested it on three cases of the Wuppertal Institute.

The complete thesis "Understanding and assessing the societal impact of sustainability research: From state of the art to a process-oriented assessment plan", which was both supervised by the Lund University and the Wuppertal Institute, can be downloaded from the Wuppertal Institute's publication server.
