International Symposium on Climate Technology Cooperation

Manfred Fischedick takes part in Symposium in Seoul, South Korea

  • Events 29.11.2016

Under the New Climate Regime brought in by the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015, increasing international attention is being paid to climate technology transfer. It has the potential to address climate policy challenges, and also provides business opportunities in climate technologies at home and in partner countries. In this context, understanding the status of climate technology investments and sharing the valuable experiences and practices of international organisations with climate programmes may assist the Korean government as it develops and refines its global climate technology cooperation strategy.

The symposium will provide the possibility for networking, knowledge sharing and cooperating. Distinguished international speakers, among them Prof. Manfred Fischedick, vice-president of the Wuppertal Institute, will share their insights on technology transfers. Fischedick will talk about the global policy on climate technology, both in the present and in the future. Through the symposium, Korean organisations and private companies may learn how to establish and develop opportunities in climate technology cooperation with partner countries.
