  • News 09.01.2017

The new GAIA magazine has three key subjects that are discussed in German and English articles. The issue "Reallabore und transdisziplinäre Forschung" (real-world labs and transdisciplinary research) deals with Sustainable Consumption Research, Sustainable Urban Food Policy and Agrophotovoltaics.

Wuppertal Institute's Wolfgang Obergassel wrote the editorial "Linking Climate Policy and Sustainable Development: There are Simply Benefits", in which he strongly suggests not viewing climate change and sustainable development as single issues but linking them and thus gaining more sustainable solutions in both areas. The editorial is free for download.

Jochen Luhmann, Senior Expert at the Wuppertal Institute, presents together with Julia Hertin from the German Advisory Council on the Enviroment the German book "Selbstverbrennung. Die fatale Dreiecksbeziehung zwischen Klima, Mensch und Kohlenstoff" by Hans Joachim Schellnhuber. In this book, the Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) demonstrates the consequences of the interference of humankind with the carbon cycle.
