DigiSoest

Project Evaluation for Model Places for Digitisation and Sustainability

  • Project no.252700
  • Duration 10/2021 - 10/2022

The project DigiSoest is an exploratory pilot project. An experimental space is created in which it can be measured on a small scale that can be expanded and/or transferred in the course of successful implementation. In order to evaluate the pilot phase and to be able to expand or roll it out in an adapted way in the later course, a scientific monitoring evaluates the process of the pilot project and derives recommendations for action from experiences made, successes and possible obstacles.

The pilot project DigiSoest aims to sensitise and enable residents in three selected villages to develop and implement their own (sustainable digitalisation) projects. For this purpose, a project organisation platform www.digitale-modellorte.de was created at the beginning of the project, with three subdomains for the villages of Ampen, Meckingsen and Weslarn. This is intended to serve dialogue and exchange as well as the dissemination of information and at the same time can be used in the villages as a project management tool. Under the guidance and coaching of external experts, Gertec and the Wuppertal Institute, local ideas and projects will be developed and implemented.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia (formerly Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia), the district of Soest, Soest, Südwestfalen Agentur and the municipality of Bad Sassendorf. Gertec GmbH Ingenieurgesellschaft and the Wuppertal Institute were commissioned with scientific support and coaching.
