Warsaw Climate Change Conference in Slow Gear

Policy Paper for the "Bridging the Gap"-Initiative on UN climate conference in Warsaw

  • Publications 14.02.2014

The UN climate conference held in Warsaw in November 2013 yielded little tangible results. The Parties only agreed on the minimum needed to move the process towards a new, comprehensive climate agreement. The Policy Paper "Warsaw Climate Change Conference in Slow Gear" of the "Bridging the Gap"-Initiative, authored by Frederick Rudolph, Christof Arens, Lukas Hermwille, Florian Mersmann, Wolfgang Sterk and Timon Wehnert analyses the proceedings from the conference and how land transport can increase ambition of international climate policy. The Wuppertal Institute is member of the initiative, which aims to link climate change and land transport more closely and gain better recognition of its potential in mitigating GHG emissions. The Policy Paper is available on the website of the initiative.
