Peter Hennicke Has Become Member of the Club of Rome

Former president of the Wuppertal Institute joined international think tank

The former president of the Wuppertal Institute, Prof. Dr. Peter Hennicke has become a full member of the international Club of Rome. The Club of Rome was founded in 1968 as an informal association of independent leading personalities from politics, business and science, men and women who are long-term thinkers interested in contributing to a systemic interdisciplinary and holistic manner to a better world. The Club of Rome members share a common concern for the future of humanity and the planet.

 

Since Peter Hennicke retired as president of the Wuppertal Institute in 2008, he has continued his research as Senior Advisor. Two years ago the European Parliament appointed Peter Hennicke as a member of the Management Board of the European Environment Agency (EEA).

With Peter Hennicke, Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker (as Co-President of the COR) and Uwe Schneidewind, all presidents of the Wuppertal Institute are now members of the Club of Rome.
