  • News 06.12.2016

Greece is still in a crisis. To change that, the Greek government wants to support alternative ways of economic activities that are more oriented towards the common good. With the book "Companies, Investments and Banking Businesses Carry Social Responsibility", the Greek think tank "Social Economy Institute" explores what really matters in this regard. Wuppertal Institute's Kurt Berlo and Oliver Wagner together with Daniel Schäfer (Research Institute for Regional and Urban Development, ILS Dortmund) contributed a chapter: "The role of municipal utilities as drivers for economic growth and agents of the energy transition". They explain how municipal utilities become pioneers of an energy supply system that is fit for the future and oriented towards the people's needs.
