What understanding and conclusions can transition scholars bring to the table, and what key theories and findings are yet to be developed and discovered? What type of theories and methods is required for making transition research a science for not only explaining, but also purposefully supporting real life transitions? After last year's event in Wuppertal, hosted by the Wuppertal Institute in cooperation with the Center for Transformation Research and Sustainability (TransZent), the Swedish city Gotheburg will host the 8th International Sustainability Transitions Conference (IST), guided by the theme "Taking the leads in real world transition".
More than ten researchers from the Wuppertal Institute will be part of the team of experts participating in full paper, dialogue and poster sessions.
