Event series “NRW Climate Lounge” on COP23 at Post Tower in Bonn

The event series "NRW Climate Lounge" offers events alongside COP23 on nine weekdays from 5 – 7 p.m.

Before introducing the topic of the day, the Wuppertal Institute will present the daily update on the current official negotiations at COP23. Next, innovative industrial projects and industry initiatives will be presented and representatives from Deutsche Post DHL Group, Metro Group and Vaillant Deutschland GmbH will give short presentations on their companies’ CO2 reduction strategies. This will be followed by a discussion on what motivates this involvement. What are the advantages and opportunities for developing a company and, subsequently, an industrial region?

Moderator: Franzjosef Schafhausen, Former Director-General at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building & Nuclear Safety (BMUB) in the areas of Climate Policy, European and International Policy until 2016

  • Dr. Bernd Kaletta, Corporate Communication, Head of Environmental Policy, LANXESS AG
