COP23 Official Side Events and Exhibits

Side events during this year's UN Climate Conference

  • Events 06.11. - 17.11.2017

The 23rd UN Climate Conference COP23 (Conference of the Parties) takes place in Bonn from 6 to 17 November 2017. The Wuppertal Institute has accompanied the climate negotioations scientifically from early on and analysed the outcomes continuously. In a number of COP side events, it will present its research and discuss the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Additionally, there will be various side events on future issues with which the Wuppertal Institute seeks to provide impulses.

These side events and exhibitions will be hosted by member states, non-governmental observer organisations and the UNFCCC secretariat and take place in the "Bonn Zone", making it a major hub for climate protection, exchange of knowledge, capacity building, and networking. The Bonn Zone will be open for registered members taking part in the UN negotiations from Monday, 6 November, until Friday, 17 November 2017, from 8:00 to 10:00.

The Wuppertal Institute will also be present at the negotiations and it will host several side events together with its partners (political, research, practice). For further information on these events, please see links below.
