REINVENT Stakeholder Workshop

Understanding Innovation Dynamics for Low-Carbon Transitions in Resource-Intensive Industries

  • Events 29.11.2018
  • Location Brussels, Belgium

On 29 November 2018, the Wuppertal Institute and its partners (University of Lund, University of Durham, University of Utrecht and PBL) in the REINVENT project will hold a stakeholder workshop on low-carbon innovations. Representatives from industry, politics and science will get an insight into more than 20 case studies, which are conducted within the project "Realising Innovation in Transition for Decarbonisation" (REINVENT) in the four key sectors plastics, steel, paper, and meat/dairy. The workshop will focus on the following questions:

  • Which aspects/conditions are essential to speed up and upscale innovations for achieving deep decarbonisation in and across the REINVENT key sectors?
  • How can these aspects/conditions be translated into practice in order to trigger innovation processes in resource-intensive industries?
  • Among others, Daniel Vallentin, Katja Witte, Clemens Schneider and Helena Mölter from the Wuppertal Institute will speak about various key REINVENT topics.
