Workshop: Just energy transition, opportunity for EU industries, the role of hydrogen in the future and the example of energy transition in Germany

The ITRE Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) on 19 February 2019 organises a workshop "Just energy transition, opportunity for EU industries, the role of hydrogen in the future and the example of energy transition in Germany". The aim of the workshop is to provide an analytical overview of potential opportunities offered by the energy transition in the EU, illustrated by the role of hydrogen and a specific case of energy transition in Germany.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Lechtenböhmer, Director of the Division Future Energy and Mobility Structures at the Wuppertal Institute, will present on "Integration of climate neutrality, circular economy and energy transition as opportunities for EU basic industries". Lechtenböhmer is one of two experts on climate neutrality in industry invited by the ITRE Committee. The ITRE is one of the twenty standing committees of the European Parliament.
