Between greenhouse gas neutrality and competitiveness – in this environment, industry is currently moving not only in North Rhine-Westphalia, but also throughout Europe. In order to achieve the long-term climate protection goals, changes are necessary. Climate protection and innovation can go hand in hand and promote industrial transformation.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the participants would like to discuss the existing needs for action and the necessary conditions for successful change with attendees, together with the representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament and experts from industry and research. Among others, Dr. Artur Runge-Metzger, DG Climate Action and Dr. Peter Liese, Member of the European Parliament, and Prof. Dr. Stefan Lechtenböhmer, Director of the Future Energy and Industrial Systems Division at the Wuppertal Institute, will take part in the panel discussion.
