How to Jump Start Industry Decarbonization in the Wake of the Corona Crisis?

Workshop on the changing conditions in the energy intensive industries due to the corona crisis

  • Events 17.06.2020

The coronavirus COVID-19 changes the conditions for the energy intensive industries to transition towards net-zero emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. Due to this, a workshop is conducted to bring together experts from academia, industry, policy and society. The participants will discuss how deep decarbonisation in industry can be facilitated under the new and uncertain circumstances.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Lechtenböhmer, Director of the Future Energy and Industry Systems Division at the Wuppertal Institute, and Dr. Marlene Arens from Lund University will moderate the workshop.

The online workshop is co-organised by the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (eceee) and the Research Network on Industrial Decarbonisation (RENEW) and serves as a pre-conference event to the Industrial Efficiency 2020 digital conference which will take place from 14 to 17 of September 2020. The workshop is conducted in English and participation is free of charge. The registration and further information on the workshop can be found in the links below.
