GJETC Outreach 2020

Key results, lessons learnt and perspectives of GJETC in the light of the Corona crisis

  • Events 02.07.2020
  • Location Online

A lot of things are different this year. Like no other crisis since the Second World War, the Corona pandemic has brought the interdependence of the "One World" and the vulnerability of the globalised world economy into the public consciousness. In response to this threat, unprecedentedly decisive action can be observed around the globe. However, no similarly urgent measures "to get out of the emergency" (Club of Rome 2020) have been adopted with regard to climate change.
The German-Japanese Energy Transition Council (GJETC) has been working continuously since 2016 to develop policy advice for new and long-term perspectives on the way to an ambitious energy transition process based on strategic and systemic analysis. Therefore, we cordially invite you to the Outreach Webinar of GJETC on July 02. On this day, Prof. Dr. Peter Hennicke, German Co-Chair of the GJETC and Senior Advisor at the Wuppertal Institute, and Prof. Masakazu Toyoda, Japanese Co-Chair of the GJETC and chairman and CEO of the Institute of Energy Economics in Japan (IEEJ), will inform about the scientific results of the second phase of the Council and the resulting policy recommendations with regard to the global corona crisis.

The webinar will take place on Thursday, 2 July 2020. From 10.00 am to 10.30 am and will be held in English via GoToWebinar. Further information can be found under the link below.
