The 9th International Ruhr Energy Conference (INREC) conference deals with the various sources of uncertainty and risk in the energy sector and examine the latest methodological developments to address them. This year's event, organised by the Chair of Energy Economics at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the House of Energy Markets and Finance, will take place as a digital plenary session on 9 and 10 September 2020.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Schmidt, President of RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Development, Prof. Dr. Manfred Fischedick, Scientific Director of the Wuppertal Institute, and Prof. Dr. Christoph Weber, Chair for Management Science and Energy Economics at the University Duisburg-Essen, will discuss the topic "180 EUR/t CO2 – environmental utopia or environmental economic perspective?" on the first day of the event at 11 am. This will be followed by an in-depth discussion with the audience.
