The focus of alternative economic policy must go beyond a short and medium term socio-economic analysis. Concerning climate change but also natural resources some limits of growth are already exceeded. Natural capital runs shorter and shorter in relation to the ever-increasing global demands of a growing population and economy. Therefore, a completely new quality and quantity of basic innovations (Green Tech) within the context of nature saving technological progress and "Green Growth" is required. Additionally, a much more integrated approach for climate and resource protection is needed.
