Transform the European Process Industries

Stefan Lechtenböhmer gives a lecture at the 4th International Workshop on Innovation and Production Management in the Process Industries

With the European Green Deal, the European Commission expresses its strong commitment to transform Europe to the first climate-neutral continent. More and more stakeholders consider the transformation of the industry as inevitable. Incremental changes will not be enough to achieve CO2-neutrality and keep the European process industries competitive at the same time.

The 4th International Workshop on Innovation and Production Management in the Process Industries (IPM2022) addresses this challenge and will take place on 12 and 13 May 2022 in Frankfurt. The Workshop provides a forum for scholars researching the process industries and the transformation to CO2-neutrality, to develop and share knowledge in interaction with industry professionals.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Lechtenböhmer, Director of the Future Energy and Industry Systems Division at the Wuppertal Institute, gives the lecture on "Transformation of the Process Industries in Germany and Europe" on 13 May. His presentation focuses on the transformation in Germany and deals with questions such as: Which are the relevant topics of different German scenario studies on transformation paths? How does this differ from other countries? And what does this mean for companies options for action?

For participation in the workshop an application in advance is required (also without any research contribution). Currently, there are still places available. Detailed information on the event can be found in the link below.
