The Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum "Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place" takes place on 18 October in Brussels. The 2022 edition of the forum is jointly organised by the European Commission’s Directorates-Generals for Energy and Climate Action, the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
The conference includes plenary sessions with high-level representatives from the European Commission, cities and investment community. Pioneering initiatives that encourage change at local level, such as sustainable plans and strategies for the energy transition, energy efficiency financing in the public and private sector and Integrated Home Renovation Services, will be presented.
Jan Kaselofsky, Senior Researcher in the Urban Transitions Research Unit at the Wuppertal Institute, presents the project "Promoting Building Retrofits in the Private Residential Sector through One-Stop-Shops in Germany" (ProRetro). ProRetro supports owners of residential buildings who want to renovate their house. Within the project One-Stop-Shops that accompany the implementation of the energy efficiency renovation measures through multiple tasks from planning and financing over commissioning construction work to supervision, are developed and put to test in five German cities and regions.
The forum brings together cities, industry and financial institutions to exchange good practices and successful solutions to common challenges. It also offers plenty of opportunities for networking.
