Henning Wilts speaks on Germany's National Circular Economy Strategy

On 15 November 2024, the Circular Valley Foundation is hosting the Circular Valley Forum 2024 in Wuppertal: Germany's largest conference on circular economy will bring together over 1,200 experts from business, politics, science and civil society. The event will feature presentations and discussions by high-profile speakers and panellists, including Steffi Lemke, Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, Karl Josef Laumann, Minister for Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine Westphalia, and Dr. Max Neufeind, Head of the Transformation Policy Unit at the Federal Chancellery.

Prof. Dr. Henning Wilts, Director of the Circular Economy Research Division at the Wuppertal Institute, will speak on Germany’s National Circular Economy Strategy: Wilts will contribute to the panel "The National Circular Economy Strategy (NKWS) – Taking Action Now to Improve Details", which will be opened by Steffi Lemke.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the conference programme will include both overarching topics such as the importance of the circular economy for the transformation as well as topic-specific panels, for example on the role of the chemical industry in the transformation or on logistics as a key factor for the circular economy.
