This year's European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is being held under the motto "Powering a fair and competitive green transition". It is Europe's largest conference on renewable energies and energy efficiency. Together with representatives from authorities, science, companies, non-governmental organisations and consumer organizations, the European Commission wants to promote the green transformation in Brussels. Between 10 and 12 June 2025, leading experts will talk about and discuss on industrial transformation and digitalisation as well as sustainable living and local engagement.

The Wuppertal Institute will also be represented in Brussels: Dr. Anna Leipprand, Co-Head of the Transformative Industrial Policy Research Unit, will participate in a panel of the European Commission's Transforming Coal Regions initiative. Under the title "Transforming coal regions for a clean and competitive future", scientists will discuss the opportunities and challenges of coal regions regarding the necessary decarbonization.

Interested parties can take part in the EUSEW 2025 both on site and online. However, the number of places for personal participation is limited. To register, please use the link below.
