This latest issue of the Carbon Mechanisms Review "A Question of Integrity" tackles the integrity debate on carbon market mechanisms from two different angles. In the cover feature, the issue presents the first article of a new series focused on establishing good practice for the market mechanisms under the Paris Agreement as a whole. Based on a proposal by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, the series aims to help identify legitimate criticisms of the new market mechanisms in order to support the discussion on how to ensure quality and integrity. The series begins with an overview of the current criticisms, analyses them in detail and discusses potential areas for action.
The Carbon Mechanisms Review (CMR) is a specialist magazine on cooperative market-based climate action. The CMR is published by the Wuppertal Institute on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
