At the General Assembly of the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (eceee), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Clemens Rohde, Director of the Future Energy and Industry Systems Research Division at the Wuppertal Institute, was re-elected to the eceee board. Rohde had stepped down from his position on the board in accordance with the eceee’s statutes when he left Fraunhofer ISI to join the Wuppertal Institute in February 2026.
In addition to his appointment to the Executive Board, Rohde was also elected Vice-President of the eceee at the General Assembly. “It is an honour to be re-elected to the eceee Board in my new role at the Wuppertal Institute. I am very much looking forward to the next three years, particularly to my additional role as Editor-in-Chief of energydemand.org, the eceee’s new scientific journal,” said Rohde following his election.
The European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (eceee) is a membership-based, non-profit organisation that produces scientific studies and policy analyses with the aim of promoting energy efficiency in Europe. One of the eceee’s best-known initiatives is its regular Summer Studies, which are among the most important international conferences in the field of energy efficiency. Researchers, policy-makers and experts from the business sector and civil society come together here to exchange views on new research findings, policy instruments and best practices.
