ADB Cooperation to Strengthen Institutions for Localizing Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development
Asian Development Bank (ADB) implemented knowledge and support technical assistance: Strengthening institutions for localising the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The technical assistance improved the institutional capacity of selected developing member countries (DMCs) to localise the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project was a part of the technical assistance and aimed to strengthen the capacity of city stakeholders as well as organisations in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province (China) and at the national level on transformation and upgrade of resource-based cities; and enhance Sino-German dialogues on such a transformation. The capacity building program covered two topics:
- energy transition, coal phase-out and climate-neutrality in the industry sector
- local and regional transformation.
