Together with the statutory health insurance company BARMER, the Wuppertal Institute has set itself the goal of preparing the current state of research on the interaction between climate change and health within the project "BARMER Explorationsstudie Klimawandel und Gesundheit". For this purpose, the scientists create a structured overview in the form of a research map of the main topics and actors by means of so-called desk research. Based on this, interviews with experts are conducted to evaluate the results and to deepen the topic area. Based on these results, focus groups with relevant experts will be conducted. The aim is to identify possible research gaps that can be addressed in future research collaborations.
