NRW.BANK is the regional development bank of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). It has been issuing Green and Social Bonds for many years – and uses them to refinance similar, i.e. other green and social undertakings. With the project "Impact Reports for NRW.BANK Bonds", the Wuppertal Institute and NRW.BANK are now continuing their long-standing successful cooperation: The Wuppertal Institute determines the sustainability impacts of the loans bundled in the bonds, most of which are earmarked for specific purposes. The results are published in the form of impact reports, accompanied by the continuous further development of an already existing methodology. The latter are published in the form of method papers on the Wuppertal Institute’s website in order to promote scientific exchange in this area.
