The Research Information System (Forschungs-Informations-System, FIS) of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport is a policy advisory tool that enables the transfer of knowledge from science and research to politics and planning, particularly in the areas of transport, mobility and digital. The FIS provides a well-founded, comprehensive and systematic overview of the state of science and research in various areas of the mobility field of action.
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, the Wuppertal Institute provides the ongoing maintenance of the FIS content as well as its supplementation and further development against the background of current political and other developments in the field of passenger transport.
