Analysis to Institutional and Process-Related Basics of the Study "Climate Neutral Alps 2050"

The Ecosystem Alps is particularly affected by the outcome of climate change. On the occasion of the tenth Alp-Conference, there should be an inspection of how the Alps could be climate neutral till 2050.

In a first project, the Wuppertal Institut generated a respective short study and realised an expert workshop to find out potential issues and subjects to be discussed with international experts from science.

A first proposal for the implementation of the decision taken at the tenth Alp-Conference is to be presented to the standing committee of the Alp Convention under the Slovenian persidency. Besides the presentation and discussion of the short study, first steps towards the procedure and approach of the main study were discussed at the Alp Convention.
