Provision of External Expertise on Emerging Regulatory and Policy Issues within the Responsibility of the ENVI Committee in the Area of Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development and the International Dimension

  • Project no.3340
  • Duration 09/2010 - 12/2014

The Wuppertal Institute provides the European Parliament's Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) with external expertise on environmental policies, particularly in the field of sustainable development and its international dimension.

To this end, the Institute prepares upon request studies, impact assessments and briefing notes, and supports the organisation of workshops. For these tasks the Institute collaborates with its partners UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production and Ludwig-Bölkow-Systemtechnik GmbH.
In March 2011, the study "EU Subsidies on Polluting and Unsustainable Practices" has been completed.
