Accompanying Research and Process Monitoring of the Climate Protection Plan NRW

On behalf of the Ministry of Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection NRW, the Wuppertal Institute developed a concept of participation, which includes a draft for the organizational and content-related framework, in which stakeholders in NRW are involved in the selection of climate protection measures that aim to reach the goals of reducing and adjusting emissions.
Central parts of this project are an overview on the impact of EU- and national politics on NRW, a presentation of legal options for action of the state NRW in climate protection as well as the content-related accompanying of the construction of a climate protection plan.
The plan for climate protection shall include essential climate protection measures that aim to reach the goals of climate protection that are to be found in the Climate Change Bill. It will be developed in a participative process directly assisted by relevant stakeholders in NRW (such as businesses, consumer associations, trade unions etc.).
