Moderation of the Open Dialogue Process "Fortschritt gestalten"

  • Project no.150139
  • Duration 06/2014 - 03/2017

"Fortschritt gestalten" is an open dialogue process, in which answers and recommendations for questions concerning the future-proof development of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia shall be developed. The aim is to collectively find new and better answers for the present economic, ecological and social challenges. The discussions are organised within four working groups, namely "the future of the economy and labour", "the future of urban life", "the future of energy supply" and "the future of the dialogue between companies and society". The Wupperal Institute hereby coordinates and accompanies the working group "the future of energy supply". Besides the moderation of the dialogue events (e.g. expert workshops and panel discussions), this comprises the thematic and conceptional development of the dialogue. In addition to the dialogue events of the working groups, annual congresses are held, which serve as a platform to publically present the current state of discussions in the dialogue process and which focus on specific topics with relevance to future-proof development. The dialogue process was initiated by the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Economics of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The dialogue will take place until 2017 and shall conclude in a report, which will present approaches to the discussed future-oriented topics and recommendations for political impulses.
