Different players of both sides are working together. This rapid change in the sports and leisure sector, however, poses challenges to all stakeholders.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) founded an advisory board for sports and sustainability, which aims to shape the future of sports and sustainability and to initiate new projects in order to address the challenges to come.
At the forum "Sport as a Catalyst for a Sustainable Society", experts from environmental organisations, sports clubs and sports associations discussed concrete measures for more sustainability in and through sports together with representatives from research, politics, administration, and the economy.
