AdaptEconII

Adaptation to a New Economic Reality

  • Project no.150083
  • Duration 12/2015 - 11/2020

Adaptation to a new economic reality (AdaptEconII) is an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded in the frame of EU Horizon-2020 and the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions. The aim of an ITN is to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative early-stage researchers, that are able to face current and future challenges and to convert knowledge and ideas into products and services that are beneficial for the economy and society. AdaptEcon is a transdisciplinary ITN that trains young researchers in new economic thinking. The trans-disciplinary program interlinks system science, ethics for an interdependent world, natural science, and observation-based political science with biophysical economics and includes expertise from academia and Civil Society Organisations.

In the AdaptEcon ITN twelve Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) are trained for a PhD at the University of Iceland (Reykjavik, Iceland), University of Stockholm (Stockholm, Sweden) and University Clermont Auvergne (Clermont Ferrand, France). The Wuppertal Institute is involved as a partner organisation and hosts two ESRs for several months.
