Harnessing the Invisible Fuel: Enablers for Energy Efficiency

The focus of the event is energy efficiency in general, ranging from appliance labels and standards to broader cap and trade programmes. The objective of the event is to bring into focus the policies, economics and institutions that underpin the success of energy efficiency programmes. The event will be held on 10th November 2017 from 11.30 to 12.45 in the WWF Pavilion (PandaHub) in the Bonn Zone.

Moderator of the discussion will be Sean Kidney (CEO and Co-Founder of Climate Bonds Initiative), panelists are Dr. Stefan Thomas (Director of Energy, Transport & Climate Policy, Wuppertal Institute), Masahiro Kimura (Director of Planning, Climate Change & Energy Division, Bureau of Environment, Tokyo Metropolitan Government), Prashant Vaze (Head of Climate & Energy, WWF Hong Kong) and Clay Nesler (Vice President, Global Sustainability & Industry Initiatives, Building Technologies & Solutions, Johnson Controls).

Dr. Stefan Thomas is panelist and holds a lecture on the topic "Energy Efficiency First for implementing the Paris Agreement".
