Second Lead Author Meeting of the IPCC

In 2021 and 2022, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will publish the Sixth Assessment Report, consisting of three volumes (The Physical Science Basis; Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation; Mitigation of Climate Change) and a synthesis report. Within the framework of the second meeting of the lead authors of Working Group III "Mitigation of Climate Change" in New Delhi, Prof. Dr. Manfred Fischedick, Vice-President of the Wuppertal Institute, will discuss the development of this third volume together with his colleagues from the core team and work out a coherent course of action with you. The processes already induced during the first meeting of lead authors in April 2019 will be continued and deepened.
The lead authors of Working Group III will concentrate primarily on the topics of climate protection, extraction of CO2 from the atmosphere and methods for reducing greenhouse gas emissions harmful to the climate.
