Extension of Cost-Benefit-Analysis for Energy Efficiency Measures by Energy Efficiency Services and Barriers to Energy Efficiency

  • Project no.251480
  • Duration 12/2017 - 09/2018

The target of this project is to gain deeper insights into the cost-benefit evaluation of energy efficiency projects from the perspective of investors. To this end, cost and benefit components of selected energy efficiency measures will be analysed that are relevant to investment decisions. The focus is on barriers to energy efficiency and their quantification/monetisation as well as the possible inclusion of prices for energy services to cost-benefit analyses (CBA). The inclusion of these additional cost components is expected to lead to an "enhanced" cost-benefit analysis of selected energy efficiency measures beyond "traditional" CBA.
