The city of Bonn is committed to ambitious climate protection goals. By 2030 Bonn wants to reduce its CO2 emissions by at least 40 per cent, and by 2035 Bonn wants to be climate neutral. To achieve this goal, major efforts are required from all relevant actors. Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB), as a provider for municipal mobility, waste management and energy service, has a special responsibility in this regard. In order to discuss the corresponding need for action and to prepare the necessary strategic decisions, the Wuppertal Institute is developing a future strategy together with SWB to achieve the municipal climate protection goals.
