Plastic credit certification accelerates the implementation of plastic waste management systems where financing mechanisms are not yet in place. While the plastic credit market is growing rapidly, a lack of transparency and missing standards raise questions of its reliability.
Together with Komal Sinha, Director of Plastic and Sustainable Development Policy and Markets at Verra, Dr. Henning Wilts, Director of the Circular Economy Research Division, and Silvia Proff, Junior Researcher at the Material Loops Research Unit at the Wuppertal Institute, will discuss potentials and risks, as well as future scenarios of the plastic credit market at the digital Zukunftssalon "Plastic Credits - Quo vadis?" on 15 December 2022 from 1.00 to 2.30 pm.
