Reparatur von Klima- und Einzelraumheizgeräten

The brief study is a decision-making aid to better understand the potential implementation of a Repairability Index (R-Score) for air-conditioning and local space heating appliances under the Ecodesign Directive. The aim of the study is to be able to evaluate the relevance of the reparability of these appliance groups. To determine the relevance of the problem, a survey was conducted so that the voices of manufacturing companies and associations, wholesalers, installers, tradesmen and repair organisations could be recorded. The authors are generally in favour of implementing a reparability index for both product groups and note that the independent rating of the product lifespan is an important lever for reducing product-related environmental impacts for these product groups.
