Support for Conceptualisation and Prioritization of the EBRD's Sustainable Resources Initiative

The Sustainable Resource Initiative (SRI) of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) aims at transition impacts and meaningful operational results in the EBRD region of operations. It combines financing, technical assistance and policy dialogue. The projects builds on phase I of the EBRD support. The second phase of the project aims to support the conceptualisation and prioritisation of the EBRD's Sustainable Resources Initiative and contains the following work steps:

  1. Development of a methodology and conceptual structure of a monitoring framework for the EBRD's SRI building upon experience with the Index of Sustainable Energy.
  2. Testing of the proposed monitoring framework in two EBRD countries of operation.
  3. Identification of priorities for policy dialogues across SRI issues and EBRD countries and preparation of corresponding terms of reference.
