The Wuppertal Institute contributes as research partner to the new "Renewables Global Status Report 2007". As European Correspondent, it reports on developments in the European Union (EU-25). This includes the:

• Delivery of substantial quantitative and qualitative/descriptive contribu-tions on the current situation and the development of renewable energies in the EU for the GSR 2007 (in English);
• Translation of the new GSR 2007 report from English into German;
• Public promotion of the GSR 2007 (by publishing it on the Institute’s homepage, displaying it at events, etc.).

The contributions' main points of interest include the assessment of statistics on technology-specific capacity development (including own estimations) as well as succinct presentation of information on new policies, aims, initiatives and relevant industrial developments.
