The German Technical Co-operation GTZ asked the Wuppertal Institute to provide scientific assistance to the MED-EMIP project. The task was to develop Allocation Efficiency Charts (or Budget Allocation Charts, i.e., cost-potential curves) of the potentials and net costs for energy efficiency and renewable energy options as a collaborative effort with experts from the participating MENA countries. This was done through two workshops, provision of material, coaching, and review of draft Budget Allocation Charts.
The MED-ENEC project has published the resulting Budget Allocation Charts for five MENA countries.
