Scientific Advice on Current Climate Policy Related Issues

This project gives advice to the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) on current issues related to climate policy. Studies and topics are specified based on information demand of the ministry and respond to current policy debates. Both very brief short-term and more substantial background papers are being developed. The Wuppertal Institute is mainly responsible for questions on energy efficiency and transport, but also covers a wide variety of issues related to mitigation options in the energy sector.

The consultancy project is being coordinated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. Further partners are Ecofys Germany und the Thuenen-Institute.
