MARS Plastic

The project "Natural capital and alternative packaging solutions" is a collaboration between Mars and the Wuppertal Institute. It will look at how Mars can link natural capital accounting and innovative financial accounting, particularly in regard to integrating holistic performance measurement into "mutual profit and loss statements". The project's aim is to develop and test a practical approach to assess and quantify the environmental and financial impact arising from Mars Wrigley's plastic packaging and alternative solutions.
