The carbon economy is considered a central building block for a climate-neutral industry in Germany. However, moving away from the use of fossil carbon in products and production processes presents companies with new challenges, will change long-standing value chains and create new value creation options.
As part of this study, the researchers at the Wuppertal Institute are investigating central aspects of the future carbon economy for Central Germany. They particularly consider the following aspects:
The study is being carried out on behalf of Forum Rathenau e.V., which, on this basis, wants to use a transfer workshop to advance the carbon economy with actors in Central Germany. The processing is carried out together with the management consultant Arvid Friebe.
