Dr. Maja Göpel Joined the WBGU

Since 1 September, Dr. Maja Göpel has been the new Secretary General of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). Maja Göpel was the head of the Berlin Office of the Wuppertal Institute and is a member of the Club of Rome and the Ballaton Group. Prof. Dr. Uwe Schneidewind, President of the Wuppertal Institute, looks forward to working together under these new circumstances: "Maja Göpel set a central course in transformation reserach at the Wuppertal Institute with a high international profile and flair. This can be seamlessly continued in her new position as General Secretary of the WBGU."

With the release of her book "The Great Mindshift" last year, Göpel presented a comprehensive concept for understanding complex tranformation processes towards sustainable development. The key concepts of the book as well as the free download link are now available on the book's website.
